RESPONSE
These works pay tribute to the original location of the stimulus, one of welcomed distraction and ironic isolation, the street. The original ‘NO SKATEBOARDING’ sign appears in pieces through echoes of zebra crossings and paste-ups. These works are a collage and slippage of everyday imagery. Mirrored are memories some of which are automatically removed, the commonalty of the pedestrian experience, while other traces remain, possibly a look from a passing stranger.
